Actor Naga Chaitanya, who is set to tie the knot with actress Samantha, is glad to celebrate his wedding as per both Hindu and Christian rituals and says there is nothing wrong doing that.
Naga Chaitanya spilled the beans on his relationship with Samantha and about their wedding in an interview to Deccan Chronicle (DC). He says his father Nagarjuna was aware of his affair much before he informed him. "When I told my father about Samantha, he simply laughed, and said that he is happy and that he already knew about our love story," the Premam actor told DC.
It was recently speculated that Naga Chaitanya and Samantha will have two weddings. First, they will tie the knot as per Christian tradition in Chennai and later they enter the wedlock as per Hindu rituala. "I am happy to celebrate my wedding twice — nothing wrong in it," he admitted when quizzed about the reports.
When asked about the wedding date, Naga Chaitanya said that that his brother Akhil Akkineni would marry his girlfriend first and declined to reveal the exact date of his marriage. "I can't give you the exact date, but we are going to get married next year," the actor said.
Meanwhile, he also revealed he and his father were shocked to learn about Akhil's marriage from him. "Actually, dad (Nagarjuna) and I were shocked when Akhil announced his decision to get married. We didn't expect him to get married at such a young age! Once he gets engaged and married, I will announce my wedding," Naga Chaitanya added.
It was rumoured that Samantha would quit acting after the marriage and the speculations started doing the rounds when she stopped signing new projects post the release of Janatha Garage. Naga Chaitanya said he has no such restriction on her and would leave it up to her. "There are no restrictions on her. It's completely up to her whether she wants to act in films or not after marriage," he said.
