In the ongoing Nadigar Sangam feud, Sarath Kumar has attacked Kamal Haasan, veteran actor Sivakumar and Vishal.
In a press meet called to introduce his team, Sarath Kumar went full throttle and attacked the trio. He mocked Kamal Haasan for leaving to the US during "Vishwaroopam" crisis and blaming the state for chasing him away.
According to Sarath Kumar, a brave man will never run away when in trouble; rather face the challenge head on.
He also pointed out that Kamal Haasan did not turn up to see his mentor K Balachander when he passed away as the Universal Star was in the US. The visit could have only cost Rs 15 lakh, which Kamal did not afford to spend, claimed the actor.
Coming down heavily on Sivakumar, Sarath Kumar accused the senior actor of asking him a cheap question to his wife. "Sivakumar asked my wife Raadhika, who considers him as her elder brother, a third rated question. I was deeply hurt and controlled my anger that day only because my wife considers him her brother. He had asked, did your husband lose all your money in films? If you have guts, ask me. Why asking a woman," the Times of India quoted Kumar as saying.
He also criticised Vishal.
Meanwhile, Kamal Haasan fans have taken objection to the comments made by Sarath Kumar. On Twitter, they have expressed their anger over the statement. Actress Khushboo tried to calm down the situation and tweeted, "To all #KAMALHAASAN fans..pls let us maintain a decorum..let us not do anything tat wud bring disgrace 2 him..maintain d dignity 4 his sake."
The Nadigar Sangam elections will be held on Sunday, 18 October. Incumbent Sarath Kumar's team is being challenged by young Pandavar Ani lead by Nasser and Vishal Krishna.
