"Nach Baliye 7" has been thriving on controversies and the situation is starting to get murkier by the day.
Wrestler Sangram Singh and wife Payal Rohatgi took the exit door from the show on Sunday's episode. Their poor performance may have landed them on the last spot, but rumour has it that Singh walked out in anger.
According to a Hindustan Times source, the wrestler was miffed with the makers for not allowing him a break, whereas Rashami had faked an ankle injury to perform overseas a while ago.
"The buzz is that though she said she has hurt her ankle, the reality is that she went to the US for a show. Sangram feels that though the channel authorities knew the truth, they didn't do anything to stop her, whereas, he is not being given permission even though they know that the wrestling contract is important for him," the source further elaborated.
Sangram, when contacted, said the sport was his priority and so he opted out of the show to sign an international wrestling contract.
"Wrestling is more important to me than anything else. I am scheduled to fight an international wrestling bout in July, and I was bound by time to sign the contract. Therefore I chose to leave," he told HT.
In other news, Upen Patel and Karishma Tanna were accused of resorting to unfair means for moving forward in the competition. There were reports that the popular couple had cheated to score in the compatibility tasks.
