Season seven of dance reality show "Nach Baliye" will not see Shilpa Shetty and Sajid Khan as the judge.
Apparently, the makers have decided to replace the actress and the director with some well known Bollywood personalities to widen the frame of the show.
The makers have approached Priyanka Chopra to replace "fading diva" Shilpa Shetty and "Barfi!" director Anurag Basu to replace Sajid Khan, according to Mumbai Mirror.
However, Priyanka is yet to give her nod to the makers of the reality show as she is busy with her Bollywood and Hollywood projects. She is currently shooting for the film "Bajirao Mastani" in India and ABC pilot "Quantico" in the US.
"The makers have approached Priyanka Chopra to step into her shoes as judge. However, owing to her international commitments, the deal with PeeCee hasn't come through yet. She asked them how many days they will require and is trying to fit the show into her packed diary as it requires her to be on the set just one day in a week," a source close to the development told Mumbai Mirror.
"It would be a casting coup if they can get the duo to judge the show together. Modalities are being worked out and an announcement is imminent," the source added.
Meanwhile, celebrity contestants' names have also started doing the rounds and among them is Kamaal Rashid Khan. According to the daily, the actor has been confirmed as one of the contestants.
The daily further reported that the show has been produced by "Ek Villain" producer Ekta Kapoor and participation of Kamaal R Khan also known as KRK is no surprise.
