Ekta Kapoor's "XXX" has been a conversation starter ever since the nudity clause came into the picture. Kyra Dutt, who is yet to make her debut with Madhur Bhandarkar's "Calendar Girls", was the first to sign it.
While, the leads are yet to be confirmed, buzz suggests "Nach baliye 7" host Rithvik Dhanjani will make his big screen debut with "XXX".
"It was through Ekta's show Pyaar Ki Ek Kahaani that Rithvik made his TV debut and later gained popularity with her Pavitra Rishta. Even the dance show he is hosting is produced by Ekta. So, when the offer for the film came to Rithvik, he did not think twice before giving a nod," DNA quoted a source as saying.
Did he agree with the nudity clause? Only time will tell.
Helmed by Ken Ghosh, the erotic flick will also reportedly star Shantanu Maheshwari (" Dil Dosti Dance") and Maherzaan Mazda ("Nisha Aur Uske Cousins"). Featuring five stories, the film will apparently explore different aspects of sexuality.
"We are pushing the envelope with this film. Erotica as a genre has been passed off under the guise of thrillers, murder mysteries and horror films for years. This time it's a straight and in-your-face genre. So, we have to be a little cautious," Ghosh told Mumbai Mirror earlier this month.
In other news, the 'clause' has been added to the contract after Sunny Leone reportedly refused to shoot a few intimate scenes in "Ragini MMS 2".
"We have already had lots of discussions on how things would be shot and we do not want any problems during the filming. So we decided it was best to put in on paper as a techno-legal clause," Ghosh added.
