Colors' weekend show "Naagin," which has been ruling the TRP charts since its inception, was recently in news when reports of the show going off air surfaced. The supernatural show is supposed to be a finite series and might telecast its last episode in May.
While fans of the show are disappointed with the news, the latest buzz is none of the lead actors — Mouni Roy (Shivanya), Adaa Khan (Sesha) or Arjun Bijlani (Rithik) — will continue their roles in the new season.
Apparently, Mouni's character Shivanya will be killed before "Naagin" goes off air. However, the fate of Sesha and Rithik is not known yet.
According to reports, "Naagin" producer Ekta Kapoor believes although the show is ruling the TRP charts, it should come to an end in order to pen the story ahead. "Plus, she (Ekta) is of the opinion that if you make the viewers wait for something, the eagerness to check it out only gets higher," a source told SpotboyE.
While no confirmation has been made by the actors or the show's makers regarding the cast of the new season, the news can at best be considered mere speculation.
Meanwhile, in the recent episodes, viewers witnessed a face-off between Shivanya and some goons. Also, Shivanya's truth was revealed in front of Rithik, who was stunned to see his wife turning into a Naagin. Rithik wasted no time in informing his family about this.
Further, in the upcoming episodes, it will be revealed that Rithik is not Yamini's (Sudha Chandran) but Yamini's brother Maharaj's son. The murderers of Shivanya and Sesha's parents will also be exposed.
