Arjun Bijlani recently made headlines when reports surfaced that the "Naagin" actor was finalised to play the male lead role of Kunj on popular show "Tashan-E-Ishq." It was said that he was replacing Sidhant Gupta, who decided to take the exit route as he was offered a bigger and better project.
However, latest report suggests that Arjun lost out on the project and has been replaced by Naman Shaw, who was last seen on "Piya Rangrezz." It was said that the makers of "Tashan-E-Ishq" upon learning that Arjun will be participating in the upcoming season of dance reality show "Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa," which will be aired on a rival channel, decided to replace him.
"Sidhant had to exit the show for the same reason. He was keen on taking up a dance reality show that he was approached for. It becomes difficult for an actor to balance two shows at a time. They didn't want a repeat of that with Arjun," a source told the Times of India.
Meanwhile on the show, Twinkle was seen shattered after the death of Kunj. However, the makers have decided to alter the storyline by introducing Naman as Kunj, who will be seen making a dramatic entry. Kunj will be shown to have met with an accident and returned to the family after a plastic surgery.
"Kunj meets with an accident and his face will be shown covered. Later, it will be revealed that he is Kunj with a new face after plastic surgery," a source associated with the show told the Times of India.
In other news, apart from Arjun, Shakti Arora, Gautam Gulati, Manish Raisinghan, Salman Yusuff Khan are some of the possible contestants of "Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 9." It was said that the new season of the dance reality show will see a change in the format and the set of choreographers.
