Arjun Bijlani, who rose to popularity with "Naagin" and is currently impressing viewers with his dance moves on "Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 9," revealed that he may be a part of "Naagin 3," if Season 2 of the supernatural show succeeds in winning hearts.
"Naagin" created a record of sorts by ruling the Television Rating Points (TRP) throughout the season. While the makers are gearing up for the second season, which will go on air September onwards, it has been reported that Arjun will not be a part of it. Apparently, the makers have approached Shakti Arora of "Meri Aashiqui Tum Se Hi" fame to play the male lead role opposite Mouni Roy.
In an interview with SpotboyE, when Arjun was asked if he was disappointed for not being a part of the second season, the actor said: "Naagin 2 is a different story. When Don was remade, Shah Rukh Khan played the lead, not Amitabh Bachchan. But Bachchan sahab was not disappointed, right? If Season 2 clicks, I might return in Naagin 3."
On whether he was sceptical about a supernatural show connecting with the audience, Arjun said that everyone wondered if a supernatural show would work in a weekend slot. "But Balaji Telefilms (owned by Ekta Kapoor) was spot on -- be it in terms of packaging or casting. Both Ekta and director Santram Verma are excellent. People loved the romantic and supernatural track," he said.
Meanwhile, "Naagin 2" will see Mouni as Shivanya (Mouni's character) and Rithik's (Arjun's character) daughter. A few months ago, the teaser of "Naagin 2" was released, which raised curiosity among the fans of the supernatural show. The promo featured lead actress Mouni and a new cast, whose identity had not been revealed in the video.
Also, the buzz is that "Naagin 2" will see popular actor Nandish Sandhu as Vikram Bhanupratap Singh. Aashka Goradia, who essayed the role of Ichchadhari Madhumakhi on the first season, will play a key role in Season 2.
