Ekta Kapoor's supernatural show "Naagin," which came to an end after a successful run, is likely to return with a second season by October this year. While it is known that Mouni Roy will be a part of Season 2, speculations are rife that Arjun Bijlani, who played the role of Rithik in the first season, will not be joining the cast of the next instalment.
According to the Times of India, the makers have apparently approached Shakti Arora of "Meri Aashiqui Tum Se Hi" fame to play the male lead role opposite Mouni. While no confirmation has been made by the makers or Shakti regarding this, if the report turns out to be true, it would surely be a treat for the fans of Shakti to watch him romance Mouni on the popular show.
Meanwhile, the makers had recently released the teaser of "Naagin 2" so as to raise the curiosity among the fans of the supernatural show. The promo featured lead actress Mouni and a new cast, whose identity had not been revealed in the video. There were also reports that the new season would see Mouni as Shivanya (Mouni) and Rithik's (Arjun) daughter.
Also, the buzz is that popular actor Nandish Sandhu had been roped in for the new season as Vikram Bhanupratap Singh. Aashka Goradia, who essayed the role of Ichchadhari Madhumakhi on the first season, would play a key role in Season 2.
In other news, Shakti is currently seen as a host of the new season of "Man Mein Hai Visshwas," which is based on real-life incidents of people and their beliefs. Recently, there were reports that the actor has been learning Sanskrit language for the show. He is even attending Sanskrit classes to master the language.
