Colors' weekend show "Naagin," which has Mouni Roy (Shivanya), Adaa Khan (Sesha) and Arjun Bijlani (Rithik) in the lead roles, was recently in news when reports of the show going off air surfaced. "Naagin" is a finite series and might telecast its last episode in May.
While the show will return with Season 2, speculations are rife that the second instalment of the popular show will not see the lead actors (Mouni, Adaa and Arjun) reprise their roles.
However, a SpotboyE report stated that "Naagin" producer Ekta Kapoor has decided to retain the lead actresses Mouni and Adaa for the second part. Both Mouni and Adaa have gained immense popularity among the series' audience and the makers don't want to risk the second season by replacing the actresses.
However, it is yet to be decided if Arjun will be part of the second season.
Meanwhile, "Naagin," which has been ruling the TRP charts since its inception, has been keeping its viewers hooked to the show with intesting twists and turns. According to a report in the Times of India, the viewers will soon see Arjun in a double role. Arjun will don the role of his own father.
"In my entire career this is the first time I will be playing a double role. I think I am excited but at the same time nervous too because audience has loved my character as Ritik and I hope the reaction would be even better for this one. You have to be in completely two different characters at the same time so it will definitely be challenging. I always look forward to such difficult roles. I hope the audience would continue to shower their love and blessings," Arjun told the daily.
