Television actor Karanvir Bohra will soon be seen in the second season of Naagin. While fans of the supernatural show are eagerly waiting for Naagin 2 to go on air, it has been revealed that Karanvir was supposed to play the lead role in Season 1. However, he couldn't allot dates to the makers due to prior commitments and the role eventually went to Arjun Bijlani.
"I was going to be part of season one but destiny had its own course. I was supposed to play the lead role. I was busy working on my film. The dates were clashing at the same time. I wanted to do the show and even told the team if they can push the dates but it did not work out. I never thought season two will be made. And now it is and I am doing it," Press Trust of India quoted Karanvir as saying.
Karanvir, however, is glad to be a part of the new season. Talking about his role, he said: "It's out and out positive role. It's young, youthful role. It is a different role as I have earlier played anti-hero, obsessive, complex and intense. This is more fun."
Naagin 2 will see Mouni Roy playing a double role, one of mother (Shivanya) and the other of her daughter (Shivangi). Karanvir will be romancing the daughter.
While viewers loved the on-screen chemistry of Mouni and Arjun in Season 1, Karanvir is positive that the audience will shower the same love to his and Mouni's pair as well. "They (Arjun and Mouni) shared a great chemistry in season one. But now in season two audience will get to see us (him and Mouni). Audience does get attached to an actor but when a show moves ahead and new actors come in, people start getting used to new faces as well," Karanvir added.
Naagin 2 will hit screens on Saturday, October 8 onwards at 8 pm on Colors TV channel.
