June 26 (ANI): Narayanaswami Srinivasan has been elected as the first chairman of the International Cricket Council (ICC) after the amendments to the ICC's Memorandum and Articles of Association was approved by full council at the annual conference in Melbourne on Thursday. Srinivasan was appointed as the Chairman despite being barred by the Supreme Court of India from giving out his duties as BCCI President due to an ongoing probe into the match-fixing allegations of IPL 2013. From 2016, the ICC Board, which will continue to be the primary decision-making body, will elect the ICC Chairman for a two-year term.
