Myanmar opposition leader Aung San Suu Kyi reiterated on Thursday she would run the government if her opposition National League for Democracy wins in the country's historic general election this weekend, even though she is barred from becoming president by the junta-drafted constitution.
Speaking to reporters in the country's largest city, Yangon, Suu Kyi also said there were many irregularities in the election ahead of the 8 November vote and that the process has so far been "less than totally free and fair".
