Japanese consumer electronics major Sony unveiled the new Xperia series -- X, X Performance and XA -- at the Mobile World Congress 2016 in Barcelona.

Sony Xperia X Performance sports a 5.0-inch full HD display and comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 CPU, 3GB RAM, 32GB inbuilt storage and a 2700 mAh battery.
On the other hand, Xperia X sports 5.0-inch full HD screen and ship with Android Marshmallow OS, Snapdragon 650 Hexa-core processor with 3GB RAM and 2650 mAh battery.
Both Xperia X and X Performance house same camera hardware. They boast 23MP with 1/2.3-inch Exmor RS sensor, predictive hybrid auto focus, quick launch (less than 0.03 seconds), 5x clear image zoom, 24mm wide-angle G Lens F2.0 aperture and Pulse LED flash. And on the front, they come packed with a 13MP snapper having 1/3-inch Exmor RS sensor, Quick launch (less than 0.03 seconds) and a 22mm wide-angle lens.
Among the three, Xperia XA is the low-end smartphone. It features 5.0-inch HD screen and house MediaTek (MT6755) Octa-core processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB inbuilt memory and a 2300mAh cell.
It also comes with 13MP primary camera on the rear-side with 1/3-inch Exmor RS for mobile sensor, quick launch, Hybrid auto focus, HDR photo, 5x Clear image zoom, auto scene recognition and a 8MP wide-angle camera.

The company has confirmed that all the three new phones -- Xperia X Performance, Xperia X and Xperia XA -- come in white, lime gold, rose gold and graphite black colour variants and are expected to hit the stores in select markets this summer.
