PC maker Acer announced two new smartphones -- Liquid Jade 2 and Liquid Zest -- at the ongoing Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2016, Barcelona.
Acer Jade 2 is the top-end phone among the two. It sports 5.5-inch full HD AMOLED display and runs on Android OS backed by Snapdragon 808 Hexa-core CPU, 3GB RAM and 32GB inbuilt memory.
The key aspect of Liquid Jade 2 is its camera. It boasts 21MP camera with PDAF (Phase-Detection AutoFocus), 4K (3840 x 2160) video recording, dual-LED flash,"Professional Camera Mode" settings options with white balance, ISO, EV, and focus mode. In the front, it houses an 8MP snapper with 84-degree wide angle, which also supports a "Pause N Shoot" selfie mode. It detects the user's face and automatically starts to countdown three seconds and takes the shot.
Liquid Jade 2 also boasts DTS Play-Fi technology. With this feature, phone users can stream audio from any app or any file in pristine, lossless quality compared to standard Wi-Fi to one or more Play-Fi-enabled speakers and components.
In addition to providing perfect multi-room synchronization of music, Play-Fi also provides lip sync A/V synchronization technology to allow users to watch videos on their phone and enjoy audio from Play-Fi-enabled speakers with zero lag between sound and picture. The DTS Play-Fi ecosystem features the industry's widest selection of whole-home wireless audio products on the market, says the company.
On the other hand, Liquid Zest comes in two variants -- 3G and 4G network support. The key difference between the two is that the former houses Mediatek (MT6580) quad-core processor, whereas the latter comes packed with MediaTek (MT6735) quad-core SoC (System-on-Chip). Rest of the features remain the same in the both the devices.
They sport 5.0-inch HD IPS screen and feature 8MP camera on the rear-side and a 5MP camera with 85-degree wide-angle lens.

The company has confirmed that the Liquid Zest 3G and 4G models will hit EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Asia) markets for €109 ($120.35/Rs 8,263) and €149 ($164.51/Rs11, 294) in April and May, respectively.
