Chinese smartphone maker Gionee has unveiled the much anticipated ultra-slim Elife S7 at the ongoing MWC (Mobile World Congress) 2015, Barcelona.
"We believe ELIFE S7 will bring the future of slim smartphones to the next level. To make ever-slimmer phones, compromising on performance and function is pointless.Manufacturers should offer more features benefiting user experience other than just slimness," said William Lu, president, Gionee.
As said before, the USP of the new Gionee phone is its slim body, which measures just 5.5mm in thickness. It has to be noted it's rear-side is covered in airplane grade aluminum magnesium alloy panel to provide a premium feel. To increase its durability, the company has coated additional layer of Gorilla Glass 3 shield, so that the phone can survive daily wear and tear.
Under the hood, it houses 64-bit class MediaTek TRU Octa-core SoC, 2GB RAM, 2750 mAh battery. Other stipulated features include Android 5.0 Lollipop (with Amigo 3.0 UI), 13.0-megapixel main camera and a 8.0-megapixel snapper on the front.
