While Bollywood actors these days are trying to come out of their comfort zone of acting and exploring other hidden talents like singing, music composer Shekhar Rajviani have decided to turn an actor.
Shekhar of Vishal-Shekhar duo will make his acting debut in Ram Madhvani's "Neerja". The handsome hunk will be seen playing Sonam's lover in the film, reported The Times of India.
"Neerja" is a biopic on the brave air-hostess, Neerja Bhanot, who lost her life saving the lives of passengers on-board the ill-fated Pan Am Flight 73, which was hijacked by terrorists on 5 September 1986.
Neerja (22) became the youngest person to receive Ashok Chakra, India's highest civilian award for bravery.
Reportedly, Neerja, at the time of the incident, was deeply in love with a man in his late twenties, which will be essayed by Shekhar.
Produced by Fox Star Studios and Bling Unplugged, "Neerja" has been written by Saiwyn Quadras, who has also penned "Mary Kom".
The film will also feature Shabana Azmi in an important role.
Meanwhile, the Bollywood fashionista is having gala time at the ongoing 68th Cannes Film Festival and is expected to resume shooting soon after attending the prestigious film festival.
