Bollywood music director Aadesh Shrivastava's cancer has reportedly relapsed.
The "Baabul" music director has been admitted to the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital and is said to be in critical condition, according to The Indian Express.
Singer Lata Mangeshkar tweeted about Shrivastava's health and also prayed for his recovery.
"Mujhe aaj pata chala ki Sangeetkar Aadesh Shrivastava ji ki tabiyat kharab hai.Main unki acchi sehat ke liye ishwar se prarthana karti hun."
Music director Anu Malik confirmed Shrivastava's ill health news to Radioandmusic.com.
"I just heard the news of Aadeshji being hospitalised and I will go to visit him very soon. He has been a very dear friend of mine and also is a very hardworking person. My prayers are with his family and we all hope that he pulls through, the way he did last time," Malik said.
In 2011, Shrivastava was diagnosed with blood cancer but he successfully battled the illness with medical help. The music composer was apparently upset with the film industry as they ignored him when he was battling cancer, Radioandmusic.com reported.
Sonu Nigam, Shaan, Shekhar Suman, lyricist Prasoon Joshi and director JP Dutta were among the few who visited Shrivastava in 2011.
A professional who worked with Shrivastava told Radioandmusic.com that the music composer had to sell his car in 2011 for his treatment.
Shrivastava has composed music for many movies, including "Chalte Chalte", "Garv", "Humraaz", "Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham" and "Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein" among others.
