The Mumbai races, with a card of seven events, will be run on Sunday, and there are several ones to look forward to.
In the feature event -- The Grade II Maharaja Jiwajirao Scindia Trophy -- it looks like Alaindair should be the one to cross the winning post first. Trained by Altamash Ahmed and to be ridden by YS Srinath, the Guarav Sethi and Miss Ameeta Mehra-owned six year old is coming off a second place finish to the highly-rated Desert God in Hyderabad.
Alaindair looks good to be able to get the better of the other eight horses in the field, even if Jack Frost (A Sandesh up) is expected to run the favourite close.
Kodiac Queen looks a good bet for the Bayer Trophy, mainly because she comes in well on the handicap and has shown signs of finishing quickly on the home straight.
The last race of the day, which has a total of 22 horses runing, looks like going the way of A Sandesh-ridden Gran Paradiso, taking her pace and draw into account.
