In a shocking incident that took place in Mumbai, a man and his friend drugged and then gang-raped the former's wife. The former also shot a video of his friend sexually assaulting his wife and used it to blackmail her to remain silent.
The victim initially chose to remain silent but has now reported the matter to the police. In her complaint, which was filed at the Kolsewadi police station, the woman said that she was raped on August 17.
According to the woman, her husband, who works at a private firm, had invited his friend over to their house. He then spiked her drink, which made her semi-conscious. After a while, he asked her to have sex with his friend. When she refused her, he threatened to kill her.
The two accused then took turns to rape her multiple times and even filmed the act, reported The Times of India.
When she regained her senses and told her husband that she would report the crime, he threatened her of consequences. She has also told the cops that her husband not only threatened to upload the video on social media but warned her that he would harm her younger brother.
Hence, the helpless victim did chose to remain quiet.
She narrated the entire incident to her sister when she went home to celebrate Raksha Bandhan on Sunday (August 24). Her sister advised her to report the crime. The victim then filed a complaint on Tuesday (August 28).
The police have booked the two accused men, who are currently absconding, on charges of drugging, raping and blackmailing.
