A large fire broke out, near Crawford market area in Mumbai, early on Saturday morning. Approximately 280 shops were destroyed.
According to a report by IBNLive, the fire started at around 3.45 a.m., at the Sara-Sahara Mall, before spreading to the adjoining Manish and Mohta markets.
The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation's (BMC) Commissioner, Subodh Kumar, confirmed that as many as 33 fire tenders and 20 tankers were rushed to scene. There have been no reports of casualties, as yet. The source of the fire has yet to be determined.
According to the most recent reports available, the fires are not yet under control.
