Even as heavy rains affected lakhs of people in Mumbai on Tuesday, a huge fire seemed to envelop several shops in Bandra's busy Linking Road area.
According to posts and photos on social media, the fire broke out at a shoe store near the KFC restaurant in Bandra, and is reportedly spreading to other shops in the area.
Mumbai was swamped and waterlogged just a month after heavy rains had paralysed the city on 19 June, when the civic body had even issued an advisory for people to stay at home.
Railways lines have been affected in Mumbai rains, causing trouble for lakhs of commuters, mainly office-goers and students.
Even flights were reportedly affected on Tuesday.
