Mumbai City FC will be facing the might of FC Goa in match no. 21 of the Indian Super League (ISL) 2015 at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai on Monday.
On one hand, FC Goa are at the top of the point's table and on the other, Nicolas Anelka and his men in blue are languishing at the bottom. Zico would not want to lose their position and would like to remain at the top of the table while Mumbai City FC will have to sweat it out to register a win against the likes of FC Goa.
Let us take a look at some of the players to watch out for:
Mumbai City FC
Sunil Chhetri: Cometh the hour cometh the man! The Indian captain and forward was at his very best in their last game against Delhi Dynamos. A brace from Chhetri powered Mumbai City FC to their first victory of the season. Anelka would want him to flourish against the powerhouse of FC Goa.
Sony Norde: This Mohun Bagan AC forward was impressive during their pre-season campaign, but failed to deliver in the main stage of the ISL. But in the last game, Norde was also seen at his best and his communication with Chhetri was outstanding. He would come in handy against Zico's men on Monday.
Darren O'Dea: He is one of the fittest players in this Mumbai City FC squad and can run quite a distance. He has been one of the pillars in that defensive line of Mumbai City FC and will be crucial against FC Goa as well. He will need to find a way to break down the runs of Mandar, Romeo and Reinaldo through their defense.
FC Goa
Mandar Rao Dessai: He has been the star attraction of FC Goa so far in this current edition of the ISL. A potential threat down the two wings and can easily run through any defense. His swapping style of play with Romeo Fernandez and Reinaldo makes him one of the best in ISL 2015. Stopping his run will be Mumbai City FC defender's first criteria on Monday.
Leo Moura: Moura has been outstanding in the midfield in ISL 2015. He loves to play in that no. 10 position just behind Reinaldo. His percentage of correct passes is more than any other player in the team and his through balls are equally dangerous.
Romeo Fernandez: The Gaffer would want his star player from season one of the ISL to come in handy against Mumbai City FC. Romeo has not been at his best and has given away the possession of the ball way too easily. His poor run of form has been overshadowed as Mandar has picked up his game but Zico is aware of the situation and belives in Romeo. One never knows, as the players just need one game to rev up their game.
