Mumbai City FC have a task at hand of overturning their deficit against Atletico de Kolkata in their return leg ISL 2016 semi final encounter on Tuesday at home. The need of a fully fit team is therefore paramount for Alexandre Guimaraes' side.
One major headache for the home team will be to find a replacement for Diego Forlan, who was red carded in the first leg for a completely needless challenge on ATK midfielder Jewel Raja. We could very well expect Indian football talisman Sunil Chhetri fill in the role as a centre-forward in the absence of the Uruguayan football legend.
If Chhetri does play as the lone player up front, he could very well be supported from the likes of Leo Costa, Matias Defederico and Sony Norde from the back. Also, India's Jackichand Singh could also be seen making an appearance in the match.
For the away side meanwhile, defensive stalwart Arnab Mondal will miss their ISL 2016 semi-final second leg fixture as well for failing to recover from injury. Jose Molina has to keep continuing with Kinshuk Debnath, who filled in the role of Arnab in ATK's first leg fixture.
''He (Arnab Mondal) can't play tomorrow [Tuesday] as he is still injured," Molina informed at the media briefing. "Kinshuk Debnath performed really well in the centre-back position in the first leg. I am absolutely happy with him. He (Kinshuk Debnath) is a really good player and is working very hard.
"Although he had just two matches to play in (against FC Pune City in the league phase and first-leg against Mumbai City FC), he did very well. I am totally confident about him."
Asked about the absence of key striker Forlan for Mumbai, Molina stated: ''Everyone knows Diego Forlan is a good player. His absence may be good for us or maybe it won't be, who knows!
"Mumbai have Sony Norde, Matias Defederico, Leo Costa, Sunil Chhetri and Cafu, who are very good in attacking. Mumbai are with or without (Diego Forlan), it doesn't matter, we have to fight for full 90 minutes!'' the Spaniard added.
