Mumbai City FC, after a disappointing ISL 2015 season under Nicolas Anelka, are in talks with Delhi Dynamos coach Roberto Carlos to replace the Frenchman for the 2016 campaign.
In spite of possession serious talents, Mumbai City FC were unable to produce the right results under Anelka.
Roberto Carlos, on the other hand, was quite impressive, guiding the Delhi Dynamos to the semifinals of ISL. Carlos improved the Dynamos team considerably, after Delhi missed out on qualifying in the inaugural season of the ISL.
Delhi Dynamos eventually crashed out to FC Goa in the semifinals.
The legendary left-back has also been linked with a move to his former club Real Madrid to assist Zinedine Zidane, but Mumbai City are keen to rope in the Brazilian legend, according to a report in the Times of India.
Mumbai City FC finished seventh under Englishman Peter Reid in the first season of the ISL and sixth under Nicolas Anelka in 2016.
If they end up roping in Carlos for the next season of ISL, will they be able to change things? Only time will tell.
