Mulk starring Rishi Kapoor and Taapsee Pannu has become the latest victim of piracy as the full movie was leaked online on several torrent sites for free download. This is likely to affect its collection at the box office.

Mulk was made available on torrent websites just a day after the film hit the screens and this pirated copy has spread to other torrent sites within hours. Thousands of people have apparently downloaded the entire film in the last two days and have watched it.

Some viewers, who are not happy with this pirated copy of Mulk, say that it was allegedly recorded during its screening in a cinema hall. Hence, it has a bad audio and video quality. The sound of audience cheering during certain scenes can also be heard. It is better to avoid downloading this print and watch it in the theatre to get the real experience of the movie.

Written and directed by Anubhav Sinha, Mulk is based on a real-life story and is about the struggles of a Muslim joint family from a small town in India, who fight to reclaim their honour after a member of their family takes to terrorism.

The movie features Rishi Kapoor, Prateik Babbar, Rajat Kapoor, Taapsee Pannu and Ashutosh Rana in the lead roles. The story and actors' performances have struck a chord with the filmgoers.

Mulk is a small budget movie and Anubhav Sinha has bankrolled the film with Deepak Mukut. The movie had faced backlash due to its controversial subject. In addition, the film also clashed with two other movies like Karwaan and Fanney Khan and that hampered its box office collections. Now, it is facing another big threat in the form of its piracy, which is like to affect its collection.

Mulk has collected over Rs 4 crore net at the box office in its first weekend. The word of mouth has made many viewers watch the film, but it was not released in several cinema halls across India. Some people may also resort to downloading the full movie from torrents. Hence, this pirated copy is likely to lead to a financial loss for its distributors.
