Jelena may no longer be together, but the former couple has always managed to stay in news. Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez's new albums are slated for a release later this year. So the question that begs to be asked is -- Will they reunite for a joint performance at the MTV Video Music Awards on 30 August?
Bulletin Leader reports that we might, in fact, see them take the stage together. After all, both singers' new songs, "What Do You Mean" and "Good For You" have sparked the interest of their fans. Bieber's single, "What Do You Mean" will be released on Friday, 28 August, just two days before the MTV VMAs. So we wouldn't be totally surprised if we see Jelena together again.
While news of their joint performance has swarmed the media, Celeb Dirty Laundry reports that the singers might do a mash up of their songs.
Gomez and Bieber's relationship has been rocky of late. The "Baby" singer's new single, "What Do You Mean" is reportedly inspired by his ex-girlfriend, Gomez. However, he has only said that the song is about women being "flip-floppy" in an interview with Ryan Seacrest.
Bieber's former flame Gomez just released a new version of her song "Good For You" featuring rapper A$AP Rocky. The video, which was released on Tuesday, 18 August, has already garnered 1,758,272 views on YouTube.
Gomez's new album, "Revival" will be released on Wednesday, 9 October, followed by Bieber's Def Jam album on 13 November, according to Billboard.
The MTV Video Music Awards will held on Sunday, 30 August, and will hosted by 'Wrecking Ball" singer Miley Cyrus.
