All the popular shows on MTV have been renewed for yet another season. These includes, "Faking It", "Are You the One?", "Awkward" and "Broke A$$ Game Show". Many promising new shows are also going to debut soon, like "Scream", and "Middle of the Night Show".
"Faking It", the teen comedy starring Katie Stevens and Rita Volk, will be coming back with the second of its season 2 from 31 August. Moreover, the show which depicts the high-school of two best friends faking to be girlfriends to become popular, has been renewed for season 3.
Supernatural drama "Teen Wolf" starring Tyler Posey has also been renewed for season 5. The first episode of the same, titled "Creatures of the Night", will be aired on 29 June, Monday.
Meanwhile, "Awkward" has been renewed for its fifth season, but will also serve as its final season. Another teenage comedy which has been airing on MTV since 2011, "Awkward" will premiere season 5 on the same date as "Faking It" season 2 second half premiere, on 31 August.
"Finding Carter", which premiered on 8 July, 2014 is currently on its season 2 and so far, there is no news about season 3. "Wake Up Call", season 2 episode 5 of "Finding Carter" will air on 28 April, Tuesday.
Other shows for the coming season are "Scream", which is a television adaptation of the slasher film series by the same name, and the talk show "Middle of the Night Show", which has been developed by CollegeHumour. The latter is expected to be a great hit with comedy nerds. According to its premise, "each night the show's crew and live band crash the bedroom of an unsuspecting celebrity who is forced to host a talk show on the spot without any preparation and on very little sleep".
