The release date of "MS Dhoni- The Untold Story," the much awaited biopic on Indian Cricket team captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, has been pushed to Sep. 30. Starring Sushant Singh Rajput in the titular role, the biopic on MS Dhoni has been postponed as the makers of the movie need more time for the visual effects to be incorporated in the film.
"It was a unanimous decision to release the film on September 30, 2016. This would give the team more time to present the film to the audience in the best way. We, in no way wanted to compromise on the visual experience that director Neeraj Pandey is set to create with this movie," Mid-Day quoted Fox Star Studios CEO Vijay Singh as saying.
"MS Dhoni- The Untold Story" was earlier supposed to be released on Sep. 2. A teaser of the movie was released sometime back that had raised the curiosity even more among the fans. While Sushant will play the lead role, Kiara Advani will be seen as Dhoni's wife Sakshi Dhoni and Anupam Kher will portray the character of the cricketer's father Pan Singh. The film also features Disha Patani and Bhoomika Chawla.
Sushant has apparently worked very hard to get into the shoes of Dhoni. The actor had earlier shared a video on social media that showed him mastering Dhoni's "helicopter shot." Sushant has impressed his fans with his looks too in the film so as to appear similar to the cricketer. Now fans are eagerly waiting for the trailer of the film.
