The upcoming biopic on Mahendra Singh Dhoni titled "MS Dhoni: The Untold Story" will reportedly be promoted by none other than Rajinikanth in Chennai.
Dhoni has asked the superstar to promote the movie in Chennai, as it will be released in Tamil as well, and Rajinikanth has agreed to do it, according to Bollywoodlife.
"MS Dhoni: The Untold Story" features Sushant Singh Rajput in the titular role and it is one of the most awaited flicks of the year. It will be released in Hindi, Marathi, Tamil and Telugu. Dhoni has a special connection with Chennai as he previously played for the IPL franchise Chennai Super Kings.
Apparently, the cricketer and Rajinikanth are very fond of each other and hence the superstar has agreed to promote his biopic in the city. With Rajni coming out for the promotions of "MS Dhoni: The Untold Story," the film is likely to have a massive opening in Chennai.
Directed by Neeraj Pandey, the biopic will show almost every aspect of Dhoni's life. Straight from his days of being a railway ticket collector to becoming the Indian Cricket team skipper and also his unknown love life.
The trailer of the film was released some time back and it had received positive responses from the audience. Sushant's resemblance with Dhoni has made his fans stunned and the film has become one of the most anticipated movies of 2017.
Apart from Sushant, the movie features Anupam Kher as Dhoni's father, Kiara Advani as his wife, Disha Patani as the cricketer's former girlfriend, Bhumika Chawla as his sister and Rajesh Sharma as his coach, among others. The film is slated to be released on Sept. 30.
