MS Dhoni: The Untold Story is all set to hit the theatres on September 30 and Sushant Singh Rajput will be seen portraying the role of Dhoni. While Sushant has impressed all in the trailer with his amazing acting chops, it has been revealed that it was Dhoni who suggested Sushant's name when the makers of the biopic were looking to cast an actor who would justify the role of the Indian skipper.
Dhoni has watched Sushant's first film Kai Po Che, where he played a cricket coach, and also Shuddh Desi Romance and felt he really connected with the actor. Also, both Doni and Sushant have a lot of similarities in terms of their life journeys. Sushant has also proved to be apt for the role after the kind of performance he's delivered in the upcoming film.
Besides Sushant, MS Dhoni: The Untold Story also has Kiara Advani as Sakshi Dhoni and Disha Patani and Anupam Kher in key roles.
M S Dhoni-The Untold Story will showcase the journey of the Indian skipper from working as a ticket collector to becoming the captain of the Indian cricket team. The film will also throw light on the struggles and lesser-known facts about Dhoni's life before he attained success as a cricketer.
Helmed by ace director Neeraj Pandey, produced by Arun Pandey (Inspired Films) and Fox Star studios, the film is all set to release on September 30 2016.
