Directed by Neeraj Pandey, the biopic on cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni has had a record opening and collected Rs 21.30 crore nett at the Indian box office on the first day. The movie became the second biggest Bollywood opener of 2016 after Salman Khan's Sultan.

The film shows the journey of MS Dhoni from being a ticket collector at the Indian Railways to becoming the huge star that he is and also touches upon his love life.
