Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who has been included in India's ODI and T20I squads to take on Australia in New Zealand this month, was seen spending time with his daughter Ziva. The video which was shared on Instagram has taken the Internet by storm as the 'best partners' are seen having a lot of fun in a Chennai beach.
MS Dhoni uploaded the video clip on Instagram and wrote, "As a kid whenever v got sand this was one thing v would do for sure." The video was shot by MS Dhoni's wife Sakshi. Watch the video that left has been an instant success.
Dhoni has made a comeback to T20I side
Dhoni, who was rested for the T20I series against West Indies and Australia, will make a comeback into the scheme of things for the ODI series against Australia. He will also be a part of the T20I squad which takes on New Zealand. Young Rishabh Pant has been clipped from the squad and he will fly back to India.
Dhoni's selection is probably a result of the selectors wanting to give him as many games as possible to find form before the World Cup. Despite his iffy form with the bat, the wicketkeeper-batsman has found great support from the management and remains an integral member of the ODI side that will play in the World Cup next year.
Dhoni had earlier decided to skip India's domestic setup and this drew criticism from several quarters. However, the seasoned campaigner said that individual choices should not be questioned.
"It is important to safeguard players," Dhoni said at the book launch on N Srinivasan on Saturday.
"We have to make the domestic circuit slightly less challenging [in terms of the itinerary] for the individual. Moreover, it is important to be not too critical of T20 cricket and also individual preferences. Individual preferences should not be criticised," Dhoni added.
