Sept. 30 marks the official release of the biopic on cricketer MS Dhoni -- "MS Dhoni: The Untold Story" -- where Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput of "Kai Po Che!" fame plays the role of the veteran India cricket team star. As part of the film's promotion ahead of its release, Sushant shot a short ad film with Dhoni.
The 53-second odd video made Sushant realise now that Dhoni, who is just exceptional on the cricket field, can turn out to be a massive competitor to existing Bollywood actors if he takes up acting after probably calling it a day from his cricketing career.
For the record, the 35-year-old cricketer has played a cameo in John Abraham-starrer 2010 film "Hook Ya Crook", directed by David Dhawan.
"He (Dhoni) is a very good actor," Sushant was quoted as saying by Press Trust of India. "If you watch one of the videos we did, where he is asking me what's there in the film ['MS Dhoni: The Untold Story'], the scripted lines were just five-six. I came up with some lines, just like that and he reacted on them.
"Then I reacted, then he did. So he is a very good actor. If you're listening, you're an 80 percent actor. Well if he decides to be an actor then we need to think of Plan B, because he is very good at whatever he decides (to do)," the 30-year-old actor, who made his Bollywood debut with 'Kai Po Che!' in 2013, added.
