Malayalam actor Fahadh Faasil is all set to make a mark in the Tamil entertainment industry soon through "Thani Oruvan" director Mohan Raja's upcoming movie. Although the production house, 24 AM Studios, had earlier announced about Fahadh's association with their next movie, the news became official after filmmaker posted a photo with the actor welcoming him to the Kollywood industry.
"Had an exciting script interactive session. Welcome to Tamil industry‪#‎Fahad‬! ‪#‎MR9SK11‬ [sic]," Mohan Raja posted on his Facebook page. The movie is expected to star Sivakarthikeyan and Nayantara in main roles. It is said to go on the floors later this year. However, other details on the upcoming movie, which is tentatively titled "MR9SK11," have been kept under the wraps.
Mohan, who is often known as "Remake Raja," was well appreciated for his first direct movie "Thani Oruvan," which starred his brother Jayam Ravi and Aravind Swami in the lead roles. The success of the action thriller is sure to raise the expectations of the audience from Mohan's upcoming movie.
Fahadh, who had a dull period after the blockbuster Malayalam movie "Bangalore Days," has regained his position at the Kerala box office after the release of Dileesh Pothan-directed "Maheshinte Prathikaaram." The family entertainer, narrated in the backdrop of Idukki, has been well accepted by the audience. Meanwhile, Fahadh's wife Nazriya Nazim has already been established as a Tamil actress for her notable performances in films "Neram," "Raja Rani," "Naiyaandi," among others.
