The Mountain from 'Game of Thrones' displays his softer side by sharing photos of his puppy

Gregor Clegane, also known as The Mountain on HBO's "Game of Thrones" is a pretty intimidating character. He has been serving Cersei Lannister for a while now, and anyone who messes with the Queen is in for a brutal and painful death, as The Mountain doesn't think twice before crushing anyone's skull.

In real-life, The Mountain actor is a professional bodybuilder who follows an insane 10,000 calorie-per-day diet. He is indeed a force to be reckoned with, but he is also a softie when it comes to his pet dog, a Pomeranian puppy named Asterix.

His Instagram page is filled with pictures of the two of them doing various activities, and the proud dog owner has already created an Instagram page for his pet. "My name is Asterix (Ástríkur) I'm an 14 week old Pomeranian I love to play, cuddle & take naps!" the intro reads.

Björnsson took part in a Reddit AMA a few years back, and here's what we learned about him.

Diet: "I consume around 10.000 calories pr. day. It varies a lot, though, depending on whether I am working as an actor or to compete in the Worlds Strongest man or the likes. Cardio = Sex and from moving HEAVY weights at the gym"

One thing he is scared of: "To be completely honest I sometimes am afraid of being injured, so I take good care of my body so as not to get hurt, when I am competing I have specially made knee and elbow "sleeves" to protect me from injury by keeping my body warm and giving support... But getting support form my fans has also helped a lot!!"

How people react to him: "For some reason people are very polite to me, but some ask me for autographs and photos. I sell really cool autographed photos and T-shirts. Girls ask me to pick them up all of the time and I have to admit sometimes it's hard to put them down again ;)"
