A few hours after American telecom major Motorola began sending out invites for the Moto X event on 1 August, press shots of the phone have leaked online.
Popular twitter activist @evleaks in collaboration with technology website 'The Unlockr' have released the alleged official press renders of Moto X giving a closer look of the display and back panel of the upcoming Motorola device. [To view the leaked snapshots of Moto X, Click Here]
The snapshots look believable as the back cover's physical form looks very much similar to the phone which was spotted in the hands of Google Executive Chairman Eric Schmidt last week at the annual Allen and Co. conference in Sun Valley, Idaho Resort.
According to recent reports, Moto X is rumoured to flaunt a 4.5-inch screen with HD 720p display resolution and run on pure stock Android v4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS with 2GB RAM and 16GB inbuilt memory.
In terms of power, it is expected to pack a dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor paired with Adreno 320 graphic engine. Camera wise, Moto X would sport a 10-megapixel camera on the rear side and a 2.0-megapixel secondary camera.
The most striking feature is that Moto X will have an intelligence of its own to become self aware. For instance, when the phone is in a moving car it automatically switches to speaker phone mode on call. That's not all, the phone is also said to boast of a smart app to launch the camera with just a flick and an advanced voice-command application.
Moto X is the first major phone device to come out of Motorola since the company was acquired by Google in a $12.5 billion buy-out deal in 2012.
Moto X also has the distinction of being the first ever American smartphone to be designed, engineered and manufactured on its home soil. The new device is said to be assembled at Motorola's 500,000 square-foot factory plant in Fort Worth, Texas. Thanks to this initiative, the company is expected to generate close to 2000 new jobs in the area.
