Many might be wondering if Motorola has killed its Moto X series as it's been a while since the handset from the family was released. The good news is a new device dubbed as the Moto X4 aka Moto X (2017) is said to be in the offing.
The Lenovo-owned company is keeping mum on upcoming device from Moto X series but its details have slowly started surfacing, hinting that its release date may not be far off. It could see the light of day in the third quarter of this year though not confirmed.

It was earlier reported that the handset would be called the Moto X (2017) but that may not be the case. Popular leakster Evan Blass aka @evleaks has claimed in a tweet that the device would be called the Moto X4 and not Moto X (2017) as speculated.

The Moto X4 is expected to have a metal body and come with features like fingerprint scanner and IP68 rating for water and dust resistance. It is expected to sport a 5.5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with 1,080x1,920 pixels (401 ppi pixel density), powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC and run Android Nougat operating system.
It is also reported that the device will come packed with a 4GB of RAM and a 64GB internal memory (with microSD card slot), and house a 3,800 mAh battery with QuickCharge support.
