Motorola in collaboration with Verizon Wireless launched a new line of Droid Turbo and Maxx series in US on Tuesday (27 October).
Motorola Droid Turbo 2:
Going by the specifications list of the new Motorola phone, it appears to be a sort of Moto X Style on steroids. It boasts ballistic Nylon (Kevlar) shell (in the base model), which is used in bullet-proof vest. Under the hood, it houses powerful Snapdragon 810 series Octa-core in addition to company's proprietary Mobile computing system comprising natural language processor, contextual computing processor, 600 MHz Adreno 430 graphics engine backed by 3GB RAM and 32GB/64GB inbuilt memory.
It also houses a high capacity 3760 mAh battery, which can keep the phone running for close to 48 hours of talk time. The phone also features Turbo Power technology, where in the phone can get 13 hours of power for just 15 minutes of charging.
The key aspect of Droid Turbo 2 is its display. It boasts 5.4-inch QHD (2560x1440p) shatterproof screen, which is said to be the most durable display protective gear in the smartphone industry.
"Our exclusive Moto ShatterShield display technology is an integrated system consisting of five layers designed from materials that absorb shock from impact and are guaranteed not to shatter," said Motorola.
