To cash in on its increasing popularity, Motorola has announced that some of its devices will be available across a wider range of offline and online stores in the country. After its reincarnation with the Moto G, the company was selling its phones only on Flipkart but with the latest announcement, all Motorola smartphones will be available for purchase across online and offline stores through Motorola's distribution partner Brightstar India.
For the very first time, since the introduction of the Moto E in 2014, consumers who prefer walking into a store to buy their smartphones, will be able to pick the Moto E 4G LTE off the shelf at select Airtel stores across the country. At the same time, Amazon India and Snapdeal will also start selling the Moto E 3G/4G LTE from 25 September.
"Responding to growing demand from our consumers we have made a strategic move of increasing the availability of our portfolio across offline and multiple online shopping platforms. To start off, we will be available at select stores for our consumers to experience and purchase the device. Consumers are at the heart of whatever we do and we will leave no stone unturned to enhance their buying experiences." said Amit Boni, General Manager, Motorola Mobility India.
Though other Motorola smartphone series including Moto X and Moto G still remain Flipkart exclusive, there are chances these devices will also be available through all the announced channels.
In the beginning of this year, Motorola launched the Moto E 2nd Gen series of devices with 3G and 4G versions. Later, the US-based smartphone maker launched its Moto G 3rd Gen and recently, the company launched the Moto X Play while the Moto X Style has been tipped to be launched soon.
The Moto E 2nd Gen 3G is currently available for Rs. 5,999, while the 4G edition can be purchased for Rs. 6,999.
