[Update: News just broke that Motorola India is hosting an event in India on 10 March to launch Moto E (2 Gen), so in all likelihood we can expect 3G variant's sale to go live on Flipkart on the aforementioned date.]
Original Story:
After a brief hiatus in 2013, Motorola made a lively start last year in India. And in its bid to keep the growth in higher trajectory, the company is all set to release the new Moto E (2 Gen) to the market soon.
It's been almost a week since Motorola unveiled the 2015 edition of Moto E and now the company (via Instagram) has released a teaser poster with a tagline -- "#ChooseToStart!" -- hinting the launch is imminent in India.
And to add more excitement to the launch, Motorola chief, Rick Osterloh, in an interview with The Economic Times has confirmed that aggressively priced 4G-enabled Moto E and the Moto Turbo (top-end version of Moto X-2 Gen) will launch in India soon.
The report did not mention a timeline of the roll-out, but we believe 4G variant of Moto E will not be released along with 3G-model, but a little later, probably after a month or two.
The 4G variant of Moto E (2 Gen) announced last week, is compatible with only the telecommunication network bands in USA. The company might have to test and re-calibrate modem chip in the Moto E to make it compatible with India network bandwidth, only then Motorola will go ahead with the launch.
Motorola's new foster parent company Lenovo is also testing its own device A7000 in India for early launch this month.

The company has already confirmed that 3G based Moto E (2 Gen) will be made available exclusively on Flipkart for ₹6,999. It has to be noted that its predecessor made its debut in India with the same price-tag. Following the announcement of new generation phone, its price has been reduced to ₹5,999.
For the uninitiated, the new Moto E comes in two models --3G and 4G-LTE -- with different SoC (System on Chip). The former model houses 1.2 GHz Snapdragon 200 series quad-core CPU, whereas the latter comes packed with Qualcomm 1.2GHz 410 Series quad-core processor.
They both sport a 4.5-inch qHD display and runs on the latest Android Lollipop OS powered by a (4G-LTE model)/ (3G model), 1GB RAM, 5.0-megapixel camera on the rear side and 0.3-megapixel (VGA) snapper on the front and a 2300 mAh battery, which can run the phone for a whole day under mixed usage.
