The much anticipated mid-range smartphone Motorola Moto G is reportedly make its debut this week.
Technology blog, BGR citing sources has claimed that Motorola would use online stores to sell the new Moto G, as the discussion with Redington and Ingram Micro to set up distribution in brick-and-mortar shops has reportedly failed.
Ever since Motorola India closed operations in late November, there is a dearth of dedicated team to market the company products and now with talks with distributing partners having failed, they are said to be tying up with online stores and network carriers to retail Moto G in India.
Popular Indian e-commerce website, Flipkart has been confirmed to be one of the online partners of Motorola to sell Moto G in India, but it is yet to be ascertained whether Flipkart will hold the exclusive rights, said the website.
There is high probability that Motorola's parent company Google may also chip in to help sell Moto G via Google Play Store. The search engine giant retails Moto G Google Edition in US as well.
Moto G sports a 4.5-inch HD (1270x720p) LCD screen with pixel density of 329 ppi (pixels per inch) and runs on the new Android v4.4 KitKat OS powered by a quad-core processor with 1GB RAM, 8GB/16GB inbuilt storage.
Other stipulated specifications include 5.0-megapixel main camera, 1.3-megapixel snapper on the front, a 2070 mAh battery, Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n) and Bluetooth v4.0.
