Motorola's newly unveiled Moto E (Gen 2) will soon set foot in India via Flipkart.
The Indian arm of the company (via Twitter) on Thursday confirmed that the new second generation budget Moto E smartphone will be made available exclusively on Flipkart soon.
And in the company's official Moto E (Gen 2) commercial ad now available on YouTube has revealed that the 3G variant of the new phone will set you back by ₹6,999, which is ₹1,000 less than the first generation Moto E's current price in India.
However, the company is yet to announce the actual release time frame of the device and also going by Motorola's website, there are some doubts whether 4G-LTE model will make its way to India, as the company has posted that 4G modem chip in the Moto E (Gen 2) is compatible only to USA's telecommunication network spectrum.
The new Moto E comes in two models - 3G and 4G-LTE - having different SoC (System on Chip). The former model houses 1.2 GHz Snapdragon 200 series quad-core CPU, whereas the latter comes packed with Qualcomm 1.2GHz 410 Series quad-core processor.
They both sport 4.5-inch qHD display and runs on the latest Android Lollipop OS backed by 1GB RAM, 8GB inbuilt memory, 5mp camera on the rear side, a 0.3mp (VGA) snapper on the front and a 2,300mAh battery, which can run the phone for a whole day under mixed usage.
Other notable inclusions in the new Moto E are gesture-control based 'Quick-Capture' camera launcher, Moto Display and Moto Assist app seen in the flagship smartphone Moto X.
