Before Motorola could officially launch the Moto E (Gen 2), an American online shopping portal has jumped the gun by disclosing the new device.
Popular e-commerce site Best Buy has listed Motorola's yet-to-be announced Moto E (Gen 2) on its website revealing the price and key specifications of budget handset, reported Android Police.
In the picture, the new Moto E seems to have got itself a facelift from Motorola. The 2015 model boasts a camera on the front (on top to the right side), speaker grill at the bottom has been scrapped and on the rear-side, the camera module has been re-designed and looks similar to the one we see in the Moto X (Gen 2). But we are not sure that the circular ring around the camera has LED flash or not. Even the specification list does not mention the presence of flash support.
Hardware specification-wise, Moto E successor has a handful of upgrade, which include bigger 4.5-inch TFT qHD screen, 8GB inbuilt memory, 0.3mp VGA camera on the front and 4G-LTE modem.
According to the Best Buy listing, new Moto E houses Qualcomm chipset. There is no mention of particular type of SoC (System on Chip), but going by the new budget smartphones launched recently in the market, we believe Moto E successor is likely feature the 64-bit class 1.2GHz Snapdragon 410 series quad-core CPU with Adreno 306 GPU.
Best Buy has announced that new Moto E will be sold with Sprint network SIM with no-contract clause for $99.99 (around €88/₹6,200), but it is yet to reveal the official release date.
Though the report of Moto E (Gen 2) is running wild in the Internet, Motorola is yet to respond to the media.
