Motorola launched its budget phone Moto E's successor last week in the US, and without wasting any time, the US-based smartphone manufacturer has launched the device in India.
In an exclusive teaser, Motorola has announced the 3G edition of Moto E 2nd generation will be available in India for ₹6,999. Though the company has mentioned about the availability of the 3G only device, it is still silent on the 4G variant. Motorola has also mentioned the phone will be available exclusively on Flipkart.
For the launch, Motorola created an exclusive press video, highlighting the key features of the phone. In the video, Motorola Vice president Rick Osterloh describes the phone in an exclusive presentation.
When comparedto its predecessor, the latest Moto E has modified itself in many ways. The latest Moto E doubles the in-built memory and now features 8GB inside. The latest device looks and feels better and has many significant changes.
The Moto E 2nd Generation features Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 32-bit SoC in the 3G only model, while the 4G-LTE model packs Snapdragon 410 64-bit processor inside. Both the versions feature 1 GB RAM and a micro SD card slot for extending the memory up to 32GB.
Measuring at 129.9x66.8x12.3mm, the Moto E 2nd Generation weighs 145g. Boasting a 4.5-inch qHD display, the device further features a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection on top of it.
On the camera front, it features a 5MP rear camera with f/2.2 aperture and a VGA camera for the front. More interestingly, the device runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box.
Powered by a 2390 mAh battery, Moto E 2nd Generation comes with a claimed battery life of 24 hours. For added protection, the device display has an anti-smudge coating. In an earlier article, we pointed out 6 pros and cons of the said device.
