A popular American network carrier has reportedly leaked a snapshot of Droid Turbo giving further impetus to the existence of the rumoured Motorola smartphone.
A Twitter handle, DroidLanding, reportedly owned by Verizon Wireless accidently (or intentionally) posted a photo of a yet-to-be-released Motorola Droid Turbo (rear-side).
Once the word got out in the media, the DroidLanding immediately pulled off the image from Twitter-pate, but by then many had taken screenshot of the Droid Turbo.
In the picture (courtesy, Droid Life), a crimson Motorola device flaunts the trademark silver M embellishment (with circular black back-ground) in the middle, just below the circular camera module (with LED flash lights on both sides) and at the bottom, we see Verizon and DROID branding.
As of now, neither Verizon Wireless nor Motorola have responded to the report, but many tech pundits opine that this accidental act is one of many marketing tricks, companies use to drum up enough sound to make fans be aware of the new device before its official launch.
There is no word when the new Motorola phone would make its debut, but it is said that Droid Turbo will house top-of-the-line internal hardware on par with current flagship smartphones in the market.
It is expected to sport a 5.2-inch QHD (2,560x1,440p) display, 2.7GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 CPU, 3GB RAM, 21.0-megapixel camera, 2.0-megapixel snapper on the front and a high-capacity 3,900mAh battery.
