CCTV footage released by Queensland police today (23 June) shows a motorcyclist barely surviving a dramatic crash with a car in Brisbane.
In the video, a motorcycle is seen driving through a busy junction before colliding with a car and sliding along the street. Another motorcycle is then seen crossing the same junction and narrowly escaped a second collision moments after.
Four schoolchildren who were crossing the road at the time of the incident were nearly hit by the first motorcycle, local broadcaster ABC reported.
The 23-year-old motorcyclist involved in the crash was taken to a local hospital with severe leg injuries and is now in a stable condition, Queensland police said.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident on Thursday 18 June.
