Lenovo-owned Motorola is slated to launch the company's flagship Moto Z and its affordable variant Moto Z Play series on October 4 in India.
Besides the smartphones, the company will also be releasing the Moto Mods accessories, which include battery packs, "SoundBoost" with JBL speaker and a kickstand, a pico projector and a photography-centric Moto Mod accessory Hasselblad True Zoom, as well.
The event is scheduled to kick-off at 12 pm in New Delhi. The specifications of the devices are already in the public, but the price details, which are still under wraps, will be announced later today.
Motorola India has confirmed that the company will stream the entire event online on the company's official YouTube channel, so that the loyal patrons can watch the programme live on their PCs and smartphones.
For those unaware, Moto Z boasts military aircraft-grade aluminium cover with water resistant nano-coating on the back and stainless steel-based frame. On the front, it sports a 5.5-inch Quad HD AMOLED display with Gorilla Glass Shield.
Under the hood, it comes packed with Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS, 4GB RAM, 32GB internal memory, a 13MP primary camera, a 5MP front snapper and a 2600mAh battery.
The Moto Z Play features 5.5-inch full HD super AMOLED screen, 2.0GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 octa-core with Motorola Mobile Computing System backed by 3GB LPDDR3 RAM, 32GB inbuilt storage, 16MP camera on the rear and a 5MP shooter on the front.
The highlight of the Moto Z Play is its battery. It houses a massive 3,510mAh cell, which is capable of keeping the phone running for close to 50 hours under mixed usage and it also boasts TurboCharge feature, wherein 15 minutes of charging is enough to power the phone for up to 9 hours.
