Moto X fan boys might be excited enough looking for Android 5.1 Lollipop OTA roll out but the manufacturer is tight lipped yet about the flagship's successor.
There have been rumours about the features likely to be incorporated in Moto X 3rd generation and the launch date, but a new leak has narrowed down the launch date of the upcoming smartphone to some time in September this year.
According to STJSGadgets, the upcoming Moto X successor is likely to incorporate a 5.2-inch AMOLED display panel supporting up to 2K resolution (2,560x1,440 pixels). Other features include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 SoC, 4GB RAM and 32GB or 64GB inbuilt memory.
Going further, the rumour explains the smartphone might feature a 3,280mAh battery and Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system. On the camera side, Moto X 3rd generation is most likely to feature 16MP rear camera with Clear Pixel Technology while keeping the front camera at 5MP.
Moto X 3rd generation is the most anticipated device of this year and several Motorola fan boys are eagerly waiting for the upcoming device. If the rumoured specs are an indication, the 2015 Moto flagship will be more successful than its predecessor.
The pricing will play a vital part in its success story, but the 4GB RAM, marathon 3,280mAh battery and the 64GB inbuilt memory may stitch the success for it.
Currently only ASUS Zenfone 2 ZE551ML and Lenovo K80 are the only two devices features 4GB RAM memory, but while both the models restricts the inbuilt memory to 32GB, 64GB variant of Moto X 3rd Generation will tempt several consumers to go for this device.
