Motorola has thrown a challenge to smartphone players in India, by dropping the price of its Moto X (Gen 2) smartphone once again. The Lenovo-owned smartphone company has made its flagship smartphone available for ₹ 3,000 less than its usual selling price. After the discount, Moto X (Gen 2) 16GB variant is selling for Rs 26,999 and the 32GB model costs Rs. 29,999. Both variants along with special editions of Moto X (Gen 2) are available exclusively on Flipkart.
The price cut is great for those who are looking to buy a high-end smartphone at the best online price. The Moto X (Gen 2) is a great alternative to high-end phones like LG G3 and HTC One (M8). It offered great value for its price and after the new discount, it is even more worthier.
Meanwhile, Flipkart has also listed 16GB Black Leather and White Bamboo variants for ₹28,999.
For the price, Motorola offers a 5.2-inch Full HD OLED display with 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution and 423ppi, which is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The Moto X (Gen 2) is powered by an impressive 2.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 coupled with 2GB RAM. On the camera side of things, there's a 13-megapixel rear-facing shooter with f/2.25 lens and dual-LED flash. The front camera has a 2MP sensor, which can record videos in 1080p resolution.
Other features include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, Micro-USB, and 3.5mm audio jack. The Moto X (Gen 2) smartphone sports a 2,300mAh battery that can keep the juice running for long hours.
This isn't the first time Motorola has dropped the price of its flagship smartphone in India. Last September, it slashed the price of the 16GB variant of Moto X (Gen 2) smartphone from ₹31,999 to ₹29,999, to mark the launch of Moto X (Gen 2) 32GB.
Motorola is also offering a special offer on its budget smartphone Moto G, which is now available for ₹10,999 instead of ₹12,999. The handset is available exclusively through Flipkart and the offer will run till the stocks last, but there is no end date on the site.
